Your Journey Begins!

Wow, I can't believe I'm actually writing this! This is my very first blog, and I'm both excited and nervous to share that "Sexuality Unbound" is now live. Thank you so much for signing up - your support means the world to me.

I want to be completely honest with you: I'm not an expert - even if I am in a position to show credentials - no one is an expert. Ask yourself, what makes someone an expert?

I am just someone who's passionate about exploring and understanding sexuality and sharing it with you.

You see, for many years, I have wanted to write a blog, mostly to express myself through writing. Whether it's short stories or observations about life, society, culture, and how they intersect with our sexuality, I have always felt the need to share my thoughts. However, I was afraid. Like most people, and yes, I am generalizing a lot, we have been taught not to talk about these topics. And, I think, although these topics are uncomfortable for many, they are probably the best and most exhilarating conversations we can have. Think about the last time someone in your social setting, family, or school brought up the topic of sex. If you had the courage, you said something and participated, but I am more than positive that when you went home and lay in the comfort of your own bed, you thought about the topic and how it spoke to you, or even how you might have said something differently. I know I have felt that way.

Also, I was afraid to start a blog - why?!? Until the advent of AI, I did not know how to set up a website, how to put an image on that website, or how to send a newsletter. I would have had a blank canvas with text, and who would like to see that on their computer, phone, or tablet? Now, thanks to this new and easily accessible product - AI - I feel it will allow me to add images to my words, set up my website, and type this newsletter for you.

On my website https://sexualityunbound.com, I said that my word content is my writing - you can see the misspelled words, typos, and grammar mistakes. But for the images, I use AI to generate them.

By subscribing to this newsletter, you're joining me on what feels like a deeply personal journey. I will do my best to send new articles as soon as I able to craft them, and

• Personal Stories: I'll be sharing my own experiences, doubts, and revelations about sexuality. It might get a bit awkward at times, but I promise to be real.

• Learning Together: We'll explore various aspects of sexuality, from relationships and intimacy to sexual health. I'll be learning right alongside you!

• Open Discussions: I want to create a space where we can ask those questions we've always been too shy to voice. No judgment, just curiosity.

• Resource Sharing: As I come across helpful books, podcasts, or articles, I'll pass them along. If you find something great, please share it with me too!

• Q&A Sessions: Get answers to common (and not-so-common) questions about sexuality.

• Insightful Articles: Drive deep into various aspects of sexuality, from intimacy, sexual health, and wellness to relationships

• Expert Interviews: Gain valuable perspectives from leading sexuality educators, researchers, and therapists.

This newsletter and blog are not just about sending articles and thoughts; they're about building a community - starting online, with the potential to grow beyond. I envision this as the safe, inclusive space I wish I had when I started exploring my sexuality. It's designed to be a judgment-free zone where curiosity is encouraged and diversity is celebrated. My intention isn't to flood your mailbox with ads or sales pitches, nor is it to monetize your participation. I believe that knowledge is power, especially when it comes to sexuality, and we're here to provide you with accurate, up-to-date information in a respectful and engaging manner.

While I'm not certain where this journey will take us, I'm open to the possibilities. Perhaps one day, this community might evolve into something more. After all, we all can - and should - have dreams. For now, though, my focus is on creating a valuable resource and fostering meaningful connections among our members.
